CRN has an illustrious history that coincides with the India's first steps towards freedom and the modern era. Founded in 1945 by the late C. R. Narayana Rao, the firm has stood as an active participant in the changing landscape of the country. We have also appropriately altered our services to cater to the growing needs of the architectural industry. The emergence of newer architectural styles, introduction of novel building techniques and the need for an integrated structure have all played their role in making us who we are today.

Thanks to the inventive pace set by the founder, CRN has firmly established itself as one of the foremost consulting organizations in the country, judging by the volume and range of projects in its portfolio.

The first three decades of the firm's existence coincided with industrialization in India. We are proud to have partnered with several industries that were born during this period.

CRN developed its expertise in industrial architecture, specifically the Automobile, Auto Ancillary Units, Textile and Sugar Industries in association with prestigious names like Dunlop, Amalgamations Group, TI Group, Ashok Leyland, Ennore Foundries and the Rane Group of Industries.

The early 70s saw CRN consolidate its activities in the industrial sector with the TVS Group, Madras Fertilizers, MRF and educational institutions, thus expanding its design and project expertise.

It was also the perfect time to launch out into the Middle East. CRN's overseas branch at UAE was an active participant in the growth of the United Arab Emirates, successfully executing several commercial, industrial and housing projects in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Ras Al Khamiah.

Through the 80s and well into the 90s, CRN continued to widen its range of consultancy in the industrial sector for institutions such as Madras Refineries, DCM Hyundai, Castrol, Mahindra Alwyn Nissan, BHP and ABB.

The firm also added to its portfolio Corporate Offices, Hospitals, Interiors and Shopping Malls through assignments for HAL, KSFC, IDBI, ANZ Grindlays, Unit Trust of India, Silicon Graphics (USA), British Foreign Office, Tamil Nadu Hospitals, Cancer Institute, Spencer Plaza and ITC besides educational institutions such as IIT, Pondicherry University and several other engineering colleges.

Since the beginning of the nineties, CRN has made its presence strongly felt in the Sports Facilities sector having designed at least six Sports Stadium for major sporting events, all conforming to International Standards.

The changing economy of the mid 90s saw the explosion of Information Technology and influx of Multi national clients into the country. Both the MNCs and leading Indian IT companies began to build and expand campuses across the country. CRN was quick to adapt and raise the bar in design and engineering to cater to the demands of IT. CRN has designed and continues to design campuses and buildings for the all the top Indian and Multinational IT/ITES companies.

Today CRN stands as a monument of trust that integrates related areas of architecture to offer clients a superior experience at every stage in the lifecycle of a project, from conceptualization through execution to delivery.
